Fill Your Cup
Is it just me or does not being able to eat certain foods make you want to cook for others. I have been falling down the rabbit hole of baking and cooking videos during this time and it’s the prefect season for giving some delicious treats and meals to the one’s you love. It honestly has brought me such peace and joy to be in kitchen creating and trying new recipes. My favorite recipes to make are breads. I absolutely love kneading the dough and watching the dough magically double in size.
Baking and cooking has taught me to slow down and smell the roses. Life is meant to be enjoyed without stress and spent with people who make you feel at home. And I know you’re wondering what have I been cooking? The list is pretty long but here are a couple of my favorites:
Christmas cookie box filled with gingerbread, chocolate chip, maple, and chocolate cookies
Homemade chicken pot pie
Tres Leches cinnamon rolls
Sweet potato rolls
Chicken a la Napolitaine
I say all this to say finding a hobby that you enjoy and will challenge you to get out of your comfort zone. You need something to give your mind a rest from the woes that may occur while being in this uncomfortable situation. Keeping your spirits high and staying encouraged is the key to optimal health. Allow the process to work on you and until it works for you.
Please share some of your favorite recipes in the comment section. Also if you have any cooking or baking tips I would love to hear them.
