Trust the Process
As I have gone through this process I have realized that you can’t rush it. Your body is going to need some time to recover and get to where it needs to be. Take your time, don’t try to rush it. As long as you are making steps in the right direction speed doesn’t matter and honestly if you are going in the wrong direction the last thing you want to do is speed down the wrong lane.
To illustrate my point let’s talk about bananas. A while ago I read an article that said if you have a histamine intolerance you should try eating unripe/green bananas. I decided that once a week I would eat a banana. The unripe banana still gave me head tingles but not as bad as other fruits that I have tried. Recently, I was sitting down for a meal and once I was finished eating I was still hungry. Sitting on the table was a very ripe banana and something in me said EAT IT! I ate the banana and did not have any issues. That was so shocking to me because all this time I had been eating unripe bananas because I was told it was better for histamine intolerance. I believe that because I’ve consistently eaten an unripe banana for the past couple of months I have built a tolerance to ripe bananas.
I want to stress that this did not happen over night. It took time and patience. As I always say with foods it is not a “not ever” but rather a “not yet.” In your journey expect that you will be able to eat these foods one day. You have to change your mindset and believe that everything is coming back online whether it’s apparent right now or not. I’ll leave you with this quote, “The process is the foundation of success. Trust it, embrace it, and let it guide you towards greatness.”
